Aztec Marigold (Tagetes erecta) is a flowering plant, native to Mexico, and it's a multi-purposed wonder! From it's humble beginnings as a small green plant with compound leaves building powerful roots. It then helps keep nematodes out of the garden while it produces loads of useful blooms!
Marigold can be used for various types of skin ailments with it's natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been applied as poultice or even infused into salves and oils for ages. The musky, potent aroma is valued as a perfume ingredient and incense component. The petals have been used in teas, infusions, tinctures, and even ground and dried into a capsule, to aid in digestive ailments and immune support.
